Dallas Athletic ClubThe Dallas Athletic Club (DAC), which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2019, has established this scholarship to assist both DAC employees and immediate family members of DAC employees in pursuing or continuing their education.

Scholarships will be given annually if qualified applications are received and recipients are approved by the external Selection Committee, which is comprised of two Communities Foundation of Texas staff members and a community voluneer. Eligible DAC employees and immediate family members of a DAC employee (immediate family member is defined as a child, step-child or dependent grandchild, with preference given to children over dependent grandchildren) are welcome to apply. Preference will first be given to employees, then employee's children and lastly, to dependent grandchildren of employees in the selection process. Academic performance is a consideration, but preference will be given to students with the most financial need.

These are one-year scholarships of up to $5,000 each, to be used for tuition, books and fees for any field of study at any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university or trade/vocational schools within the United States.

Eligible DAC employees are defined as those in good standing who have been employed with the DAC part-time or full-time for at least 12 consecutive months. DAC Department Heads and General Managers and their immediate families are not eligible to apply.
