Supporting our Community...

RHSB has a corporate culture of giving back to the community. For over 75 years, we have supported local nonprofit organizations through employee donations and volunteer hours. In 2017, the RHSB Foundation fund was established with the Communities Foundation of Texas to formalize our philanthropic strategy.

The RHSB Foundation is driven by the sponsorship of our annual “Throw Down” (Cornhole tournament), our employees through internal fundraising campaigns, and their volunteer hours at nonprofit organizations.

Our past beneficiaries of the Throw Down event are The Senior Source, Humane Society of North Texas, ChildCareGroup, Cristo Rey Dallas, Girl’s Inc. Dallas, Agape Clinic at Bonton Farms, the John Luke Hughston Endowment Fund at Jesuit Dallas, The Center, and Capital for Kids.

This year's event will be on Thursday, November 2 at Klyde Warren Park. We selected VolunteerNow®, Cristo Rey Fort Worth, and The Stewpot as our 2023 beneficiaries and each organization will each receive a $10,000 donation from our foundation.

VolunteerNow® serves as the hub of volunteerism in North Texas by connecting organizations with the volunteer workforce needed to fulfill their missions across many cause areas such as education, health, hunger, homelessness, social services, animal welfare, and the arts. VOLY.org, powered by VolunteerNow®, is the 24/7 connection between volunteers and local service opportunities.

Cristo Rey Fort Worth is a Catholic college preparatory school that serves young men and women in Tarrant County who would not otherwise be able to afford private education. They prepare students with a rigorous academic curriculum and an innovative Corporate Work Study Program where they earn up to 50% of the cost of their education.

The Stewpot The Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals in Dallas, providing resources for basic survival needs and opportunities to start a new life. The Stewpot serves individuals and families experiencing economic, housing, and food insecurity by offering housing, stabilization, education, nutrition, and enrichment.

Our contributions to these organizations are generated directly from the RHSB Foundation Throw Down event through your sponsorship, participation, and/or donations.
