At Lemon Tree Trust our mission is to inspire, support and collaborate with people who have been forcibly displaced from their homes, to create community and opportunity through gardening.

We are working to achieve a world in which every person who has been forcibly displaced has access to a garden and has the means and knowledge to grow.

With your support we can bring beauty, dignity and opportunity to communities left ravaged by the effects of war. Every donation we receive directly supports gardening projects and initiatives in refugee and internally displaced people communities.

  • $10 could give 10 families a home garden seed kit to help them start to grow food and flowers at their shelter

  • $100 could provide 4 schools with a Children’s Garden Starter Kit for classrooms

  • $1,000 could purchase a new polytunnel for one of our community gardens

  • $10,000 could support the creation of a new community garden

"I couldn't believe my ears when I heard I could have a garden here... We've all been displaced and are suddenly living in a desert without trees... I see life in this garden. It cleans the air and gives people hope."

- Ahmed Tamo, Domiz Camp, Kurdistan Region of Iraq
